Each sole is created from the bottom-up, using no pre-assembled components. Paired to a stacked leather heel with dovetail toplift, each sole is treated with oil for flexibility and water-resistance.
Shop Double Leather SoleCypress starts with a Horween classic combination tanned base formulation (chrome tanned with a heavy veg re-tannage). The leather is initially nourished with a rich blend of oils and waxes in the tanning drum, infusing this proprietary blend into the leather. Cypress is then finished with stains and topical wax coats that are ironed into the leather, creating a leather with a smooth, tight grain along with natural color variations and a rich-pull up.
