The 1090 Supergrip Half Sole takes visual queues from early-20th-century half soles, but features a lighter and more durable proprietary modern compound that also provides superior traction and oil resistance. Each sole is then hand-fitted to a deadstock Cat's Paw Twin-Grip Rubber Heel which has been stored in a climate-controlled warehouse for roughly 50 years.
Volpi Toiano
Toiano is a high-grade heavyweight vachetta with a fine grain, firm hand, and aniline finish. Steer shoulder is tanned for over two months in both traditional pits and more modern drums, resulting in a heavy-duty leather that showcases the elasticity, consistency, and beauty of traditional Tuscan vachetta to a degree commonly seen only in light-weight leathers. The result is a leather tough enough for holsters and saddlery with a finish suitable for fine footwear and luggage.
